I was tempted to name this painting "luv in lights." If you look at the sky it looks like the word LUV is writen in the night sky. My girls call this the butterfly painting because it looks like there is a couple of big blue butterflies right where I think it looks like the word LUV. Someone told me they thought it looked like Chief Mountain, a southern alberta land mark but I think it looks more like crows net mountain where I camped in the pass when I was a young girl. This is the third of 10 paintings inspired by the Northern Lights. These paintings have been donated by me Alberta artist Shelley Wees. Funds raised from the sale of these paintings will be donated to an Alberta family who's mother is suffering from ovarian cancer. This collection of northern lights paintings are currently up for auction, $100 reserve bid. Bids may be placed at The Gallery on Main in Lacombe, Alberta, Canada. Place your bids at the gallery or on line at ebay after April 24. This signed painting is 8x10 inches, unframed acrylic on canvas.
